Sib Joseph Ward, Lady Ward and family, and Sir Joseph's private secretary arrived at the breakwater in the Takapuoa on Saturday morsing. AUhough Sir Joseph Ward mot one or two d pu.atio&s in Auckland, the visis was a privare ona, iw object being to give Lady Ward and several of the children, who had been seriously indisposed, the benefit of the ! springs at Botoru*. The Hon. 0, H. Mills, Minister for CastomJ, passed through New Plymouth on Saturday evening and went north by the Takapuna. Mr Jennings, M.ff.R., his Wo ship tha Mayor, Mr Beiry, and several others mes him at ttu railway station. To a representative of ihe Dailp News, Mr Mills statad that i« is bit) intention Ic visit the whele of the north of Auckland district, inc'uiing Moaganui and Hokianj>a. He expects to be away a fortnight to three Weeks,
