THE NEW HEBRIDES QUESTION. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. London, May 15. In the Housa of Commons Lord Cranborne stated that Great Britain and France had each appointed a resident deputy commissioner in the New Hebridi-s to watch the interests of the nations and maintain order. They were not authorised to det rmine disputes as to ownership of land, but negotiations were proctieding to make other arrangements for that purpose.
Tlie Finance Bill was read a second time by 224 to 134 and the Loan Bill by 223 to 102.
