One for 17. The second wicket fell »t 25, Oarpenter playing Noble on. . Perrin gave a fins' display of driving. He was at the wickets for seventy minute*, and his score included ten 4's. Owtn joined McGahey, but the former had only addsd sis when Trump<r bowled him off his body. Four for 122.

Sewell came next, but McGahey, who batted eighty minutes for 36. gave Howell a chance in the slips. Five for 143. Sewell added a dozen and was then clean bowbd. Six for 150.
