The Home team won the toss, and sent Carpenter and Fane to the wickets. Noble and Joms we;e the bowlers. Kuns came slowly on the doubtful wicket. Fane had made r.ine when he was bowled by June o . One for 17. The second wicket fell »t 25, Oarpenter playing Noble on. . Perrin gave a fins' display of driving. He was at the wickets for seventy minute*, and his score included ten 4's. Three for 108.
Owtn joined McGahey, but the former had only addsd sis when Trump<r bowled him off his body. Four for 122.
Sewell came next, but McGahey, who batted eighty minutes for 36. gave Howell a chance in the slips. Five for 143. Sewell added a dozen and was then clean bowbd. Six for 150.
Young fdilad to add to the score, and KoikWright wos caugbt at long off by Hopkins. Eight for 157, and stumps were then drawn, The weather was dull.
