After the depar' ure of the lifeboat ennvas was nigged on the steamer. For three weeks after the accident the winds werefrom the south with periods of calm and southerly swell. The difference ib the two positions then equalled in la straight line 270 miles. Then on a change of wind she ran 430 miles southeast, crossing the position passed 27 dftys previously. After this 'he wind shifted to south-i-as' with a heavy swell, laud the vessel drifted noith again, butj on a change sail was again made anfl she crossed her former track a second time in the fair way to get south. When the Narrung Appeared the Boveric wes 870 miles from the Australian coas*,and 200 south of the point where she broke down. A sharp lookout was .kept all the tim? f the e'ec'ric light flashing out, but nothing was sighted till morning. The damsge to the machinery proved irreparable. i
The passengers and cre\y are in good health. They had plenty! of food and water.
Of the 965 horse?, 912 ar6 still hboard in splendid condition. The balance died if various causes, chiefly pneumonia. As soon as the breakdown occurred they were put on diminishing rations until they were getting about 81b of hran and chaff daily. 1 Thf>y had 8 da\ s' feed left when the jvessel was packed up. Tho Boveric remains at Fremantle for repairs. !
The Age reached Albany yesterday en route to search, and the Tagliafarro was re idy to start to-day. J The Nirrung was voyaging from Albany to South Africa.
