Haiciurt moved the amendment previously notified condemning the duties on graiu, flour, and other food stuff* of first nece-sity. He declared the bread tax was the blackest spot on i the Budget. He twitted the on va reluctance to vota' supplies, since it opposed all taxation { propesals, | Mr Gerald Balfour announced that the Whits Star ships would be permitted to retain their British register. Mr Arnold Foster eaid the Admiralty had renewed the agreement with the White Star Line for three years, the company agreeing not to transfer cruissrs to a foreign flag.
