(Speriil to Nrws). Stratford, April 30. ! Mr Liardet was elected by 302 to 250. Tne- e was the greatest enthusiasm. PRli PREB3 ASSOCIATION. Wellington, Apiil 30. Mr Williams was elected for Onslow and Mr Keene for Melrose. Petone.—Mothes. Karori.—Tarr. Fsildino, April 30. The election resulted in the return of Mr Goodbehere. Pahiatua, April 30. Mr Tosswill was elected Mayor. Palmekston Nobth, April 30. Mr. W. T, Wood hng been re-elected by a majority o! 307 votes over Mr. Guy. Mastebton, April 30. The result of the election was :—P. L. Hallings 366, J. Oonstdinu 330, J. A. Renall 293, R. K. Jacksun 72. Timaru, April 30 The election resulted:—J. Craigie 578, T. Hawkay 332. Both are councillors. A good deal of interest was shown. Dunedin, April 30. At tha suburban elections Mr Cbvt win was elected for South Dunadic, Mr Hoiges for St. Kilda, and Mr Dudcae for Nonli East Valluy. Wkstpoet, April 30. Mr James Scan lon was elected for a third term by 458, to Mr Marshall's 426 votes. Nelson, April 30. Mr. Bdgent was re-slected by a majority of 357 votis ov*r Cr. Pip>. Napier, April 30 Mr F. W. Williams was fleet el by :i majority of 187 over Mr S. CarEel!. Ashbueton, April 30. Mr W. FT. Collins was re-elected by ft majority of 108 over Mr Henry Davis. Great; interest was shown, nearly nil the ratepayers voting.
