TRINITY COLLEGE EXAMINER.
The Board of Trinity College, London' announce the re-appointment of Mr Afred Mistowski, Mus. B. Oxon, as tbe examiner for the College in New Zfl-i----land and Tasmania this year it< practical subjects: pianoforte, organ, violin, and singing. He will leave London on August 2nd, travelling via San Francisco.
Mr Mistowski (who is a British subject by birth) is »n old student of the institution which has appointed him to this importrnt exacninership. In the years 1890-93, he held tha Henry Smart Scholarship, and studied under Dr. Gordon Saunders and Mr Frederick Oorder, and in 1893 he gained the Costa prize and gold medal for the best string quartett. He took his degree at Oxford in 1898. Mr Mistowski has always mads tbe pianoforte and violin his principal instruments, but he ift also a player of the viola and an organist His compositions ate numerous, and include a dramatic cantats, " The Forge," two string quartets, two symphonies for full orchestra, and a pianoforte concerto. He is a considerable linguist, speaking four languages.
