PEB PJUBB ASSOCIATION. Dunbdin, April 15. A.t & meeting of the Painters' Union it was decided to ask the Trades and XAbour Council to call a »»»■ meeting of workers, to consider what steps should be taken to mitigate the great increase in the price of bread. Inquiry wag made to-day as to the price at which Australian flour could be brought into the market, and a quotation was received from Melbourne for country brands £9 2s 6d f.0.b., rquivaleut to £ll 100 in store in Dubedin. Local quototions for good milling oats are 2d 6d, a rise of 2d within a week, and for oatmeal £l3 10s per too, a rise of £1 since Monday.
