This is the ei.;hth successive year Miss A. Nicholson holds this coveted distinction. Hugg.-tt having retired from the Mekcesian Mission y.mht Southern Cross, after 23 years' servite as mate aud master, Captain Hammood, lata of the Union S.S. Company, has been appoiuted to the command of the Southern Cross.
