The boy, with his father, two caster*, and a man named Stock, had been on a blackberry icg expedition atid were driving home, but near the Pakowhai bridge the horse jibbed and all the occupants of the trap elightqf, Stock catching bold of the hone's head, but i' pulled back, and in doing si j tanned the boy againut the f< roe. Mr Mundell picked the boy up, but after a few gasps he expired ia his father's arms. T>a horse is a very quiet animal, but is known as a bad jibber. Much sympathy is felt for the psrente of the unfortunate lad.
