Mr. Richards waited on tho Board wi h a pntition to raiso a loan of £ 100 for construction of upper end of Te Ariioad. The clerk was directed to take tbe necessary stops in the wattpr. Mr, E. .Richards' tenders of Ss per yard for getting and delivering m»til on the Cro-s-I'oad and £3 15s per ohaio for chair s of untal on th> Mmnitahi Eist-road wt re accepted. The eleik w«s dirtcted to inform Mr Newbtrry that 'he fence aenss Pen-ningtoi-road must.be r moved at once, or tho Board wou'd undertake tt'e work and charge him with cost of same. A number cf names of ratepayers allowing noxious weeds to spread were ordered fco bg fqrwafdef} to stock inspec' or, A vote of thanks was given Mr W. Northcott for free labour on the Te Ari-rcad, Accounts w*re passed for paymeut, and tbe Board adjourntd,
