STAR FOOTBALL CLUB'S BAZAAR.
Fos some time past a committee of ladies has been energetically engaged in preparing for tbe great basaar which was opened on Tuesday evening at the Theatre Royal. The result of their labours as displayed to the public view was such as to prove tbat the task was entrusted to mest capable hands, and the articles exposed for sals constitute a most creditable collection. It was intended that the baztar should be formally op«ned by His Worship the Mayor, bat owing to the enrly hour fixed for this ceremony in consequence of the Council meeting the same evening, so few were present that this part of the programme was dispensed witb. During the evening there w»s only a moderate attendance, and consequently the sales were not so large as was anticipated would be the case. The Town Band was present and played seme excellent selections. The special at traction to-night will be the side shows which will comprise orchestral items, descriptive singing, ventriloquism, etc, all for the small sum of 6d. The Town Band will be in attendance from 7.30 p.m.
