Two cases, one of indecent assault and the other of arson, will be taken to-morrow, and these will conclude the criminal session. Napmb, February 10. At the Supreme Court to-day, Archibald Fairbairn was sentenced to two year* for horse-stealing.- Hoii Piriki, for the stme offence, received a similar sentence. Kereama Bopita, a Maori, was found guilty of attempting to canally know a girl under 12 y»ars of age, and was remanded till Wednesday for sentence. Mika Renata Pura, a Maori, was found guilty of indecently assaulting a native girl at Rita Flat, near Fordell, in December list. Sentence was deferred until Wednesday. • John Kinnard, for breaking and entering and stealing at Mat.imau, was sentenced to one year.
