Midland, TTn'ted made 332 (Siraoot 133, Durant 33) and Midland 183 (Strang 58, L*w : rence 44, Tolan 33) and in their second innings 42 for two wickets. In Lancaster Park v. A pleasant nmtch was played on Saturday afternoon, at ths Recreation Grounds, between teams from the Btcks and the Government Buildings Mr Tregelles captained tbe red-tape men, who went in first and compiled 114, L. Hill 37, Power 27, and Dewar 19, being chief Fcorevs. The Bank man then made 43, the skipper s>n) 10, being the <nly one to reacfi double figures; and on following-on tbey had lost eight wicket* for 33 when stumps were drawn.
