FR »ns ASSOCIATION. Hobabt, January 9. The ninth session of the Australasian Assembly for the Advancement of Science has opened. Five hundred delegates are present from all the States and New Zealand. Nearly 100 papers will be read dealing with a great variety of subjects. Before a large and distinguished gathering in the Town Hall the President-elect, Captain F. W. Hutton, director of the Ohristohurcb Museum, delivered an inaugural address on the subject of evolutions, audits, and teachings. Received 9,9.5 p.m. Hobabt, January 9. The Soience Congress will held its 1904 session at Dunedin, Professor Divid, of Sydney, > presiding.
