ENTERTAINMENTS.

HARRY BRYANT COMEDY COMPANY. (The favourable impression created by this company on thair openiog night was fully sustained by the excellent performance of tbe drama, " King's Evidence," on Tuesday evening. The attendance was fairly good, and those present were thoroughly delighted with the play. A sensational drama of this | description appeals very strongly to an audience, and the way the piece was performed reflected very great credit on the whole of the company. Miss Siseley's impersonation of the heroine, Kate Medland, was a splendid piece of acting throughout; so also was Mr Kussell's interpretation of " Isaac," which was canceived and carried out with the artistjc treatment of % true comedian, his drollery heing irresistible. Mr Keon as " Walter Wynford," Mr Bryne as " Gilbert Medland," and Mr Archer as " Matthew Thornton," were aU particularly goad in their respective parts, nor must we omit to mention the exceedingly natural performance of Little Leo, who represmted tha heroine's s>n. The scenery was quite up to tbe m irk, and the drama wass'aged particularly w.ll. In the lo:k scene both the fatal step and the rescue fairly aroused the audience to a high pitch of excitement, as did the murder in the succeeding act. The reunion of Kate and her husband was one of the best pieces of powerful acting of the evening, and tb» curtain fell amidst great applause.

TO-NIGHT, The last night of the soasrm, there will be staged " Charley's Aunt," one of the most laughable oomedi'B ev*r written, Its immenre popularity in London was evidenced by an unprecedented run of

crowded hou«es. There is not a i dull moment during its performance. With such a good all-round company tbe piece should go with a good swing, and I should attract a very large audience.

MISS VIOLET MOUNT'S OONOBKT. In another column will be found the programme fot Mi«s Mount's concert, and it will be eeen thit it is of exceptional m<»rit. Mifls Mount will sing threa so'o', in each of which her high soprano voice will be heatd to advantage. In addition to thesa items she will take part in duets with Mf.ssra Burgess and Trebilco. Mr W. J. Ryan, whose deep bass voice atd artistic execution created such a favourable impression on his first appearance here, will contribute two solos, and will take part with Mr Trebilco in the beautiful duet" Excelsior." Altogether a most attractive musical evening is promised.
