RAILWAY GOODS SHED.
At Monday's meeting of the Borough j Council the Mayor mentioned tha matter of a petition received in connection | with the extension of Ourrie-atraet to the new railway goods shed. The petition had been referred to the Borough Solicitor, and the Mayor explained that the solicitor was in some doubt and thought an action should be instituted to test the Council's position, and this would cost more than th* making of the street, Meantime he (the Mayor) thought consideration of the matter should be deferred, and moved in that direction. Or. Brooking seconded. Cr. Connett thought the nutter should not be put off. The shed was being erected, and it was no use putting off the question. Or. Oollis said in that case it would be unwise to go on with the work on Kawau-street. The resolution was carried. I
