A bui'ding half-a-mile beyond Kaiwarri, used in connection with the l New Zealand Candle Company's work*, was destroyed- by fire this morniog. It ™ insured in the Guardian Office for £SOO, and in the Liverpool London and Globe for .£SOO.
The City authorities hare decided to prosecute at once persons who have not complied with the notices to equip premises with proper fire escapes.
