NEW ZEALAND RAILWAY CARRIAGES.

TO BE BUILT IN THE COLONY. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Auckland, December 3. A message has been received from the Minister for Railways by the Amalgamated Society of Engineers with reference to the resolution passod by the Auckland branch of the Society | that any additional railway carriages required should be built in New Zealand. The Minister states that it is anticipated tbat the railway workshops will be able to undertake the building of all carriageh required in future.
