The New South Wales Rugby Union has invited the Jjew Zealand and Queensland Unions to attend a conference at Sydney in February during the fourth test cricket match. The threatened strike of tramway employees was averted by the Union accepting the Government proposals. The eignt hours system will come into operation in July next. Melbourne, November 28.
