A very serious accident hoppened this morning to a young man, W. Dwyer, iti Mr R. Johnston's employ, who, while engaged catching a hors*, received a nasty kick in the face, his nose being split open, and his uppsr lip cut. He was removed to the fclew Plymouth Hospital for treatment. Our local member of the House was on a visit to his constituents in this part of his district on Monday. The following resolution passed at the Stratford branch of the N.Z.F.U. will be laid before the Inglewood branch at its next meeting :—" Tnafc branch secretariis compile a register of s'ock and property for sale by members; also of stock and property required by same ; such register to be open for inspection by members. A copy of the register to be sent monthly to the provincial secretary, who will thus be able to ascertain the require- \ ments of members in all parts of the district, and to place them in communication with each other. Tho usual commission (2J p*er cent, on stock, and 1| on land) to be charged; such commission to be divided—onehalf to the secretary, who makes the sale, and the other half to the Union funds."

Mr A. Bateman, who has for some time been employed ak the local post offic, received " marching orders " for Wellington las'; week, for which place h£ left by Monday morniag's mail train, carrying with him the best wishes of his numerous friends in Inglewood. November 19th.
