I ftm informed that the Waitara and Inglewood Rifles, and the Inglewooi Mounteds are turning out almost to a man. About 35 of the Cadets have signified their intention of being present, ! and there is every probability of a good muster of both the local volunteer corp3. Light marching order is the order for the Rifles, in khaki, with leggings, ! water-bottles, and haversack*. The men should not neglect to tike a light lunch with them. The fall-in will be at 8.30 a.m, at the Drill Hall, and fines are to be imposed on absentees from the Government parade in the warning," A movement is on foot to form a Taranaki Provincial Rifle Association, and a meeting will probably be held shortly to coos'der the matter. An association of a similar nature; ei;i^ here years, ago, whep, the members included the polony, among whom were Messr< T. and E. Humphries, W. Elder, Captains Okay, Hostein, and others. I hope to see the project taken up with interest, and a strong association formed.
