MASTERTON HOSPITAL.
(PKB PRESS ASSOCIATION MAsrERTOK, November 7. The hospital trustees held a special meeting to consider the case which recently caused unfavourable oomment through the district. A young man suffering from a severely crushed leg and in a critical cot dition, was brought in at a time when the medical officer was absent. Three other locd practitioners v.eco askel to a'tend the patient but declined, giving certain pergonal reasons. Tiro nurses have also resigned, but this is not attributable to any friction with the hospital doctor. Aftf-r a lengthy discussion ic was decided to off->r the p-esent medical attendant £250 per annum on his guaranteeing that eith-r his own sir-1 vice* or those of aiofcher doctor shall I always be available for the hospital.
