Patterson reported con ft rring with the Uniac Committee of the Southern Church, whc agreed to drop the clause embodying ar icles of the Union which the Assembly Committee did not thiul< should appear in the Ac; of Parliament owing to future possible complications. The committee exprassed thankfulness to A'mig'ity God for the successful conclusion of their labours. Ha formally moved the adoption of the Ac*, by the Assembly and Rev No re, Auckland, seconded, expressing pleasure in the consummation of the Union, which was originally inaugu ated at Auokland. The motion wa* carried amid applauie without dissent, the b.-ing sung wi'h much ftrvour, A deputa'ion was tben introduced from the Ocago Synod, and intimated that the latter Lad rep iifed the Assembly's decision i,u the siroe way. He delivered an address of an hour's after which resolutions of thanksgiving were passed.
