PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Ohbistchurch, OVoler2l. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council the balancesheet showed receipts £27 6s, and expenniture £55 7s 2d, leaving a debit balance of £2B Is 2d. Dr. Peerless (Nelson) was elected president. The vice-president is elected by the locil associations. Mr F. O. Raphael was elected hon. secretary, and Mr T. D. Harman hon. treasurer. It was resolved that steps bo taken to arrange for the North v. South Island match to be played at Wellington. The secretary reported that he had written to the Melbourne Cricket Club asking if the visiting English cricke* teim could extend their tour to New Zealand, and hid received a reply regretting that a visit could not be arranged ns the men had not sufficient time at their disposal.
