RAHOTU.
(From Our Own Correspondent). A host pleasurable pionic was held on Saturday last on MrHeory Phillips' bush section, a mile up the Kabuiroad. Three young men provided it, generously giving the proceeds to the L\dies' Bazaar Committee for the new i church at Pungarehu. The spot was idyllic—with creek and clearing and all the beauty of the natural bush, full of beautiful mosses and ferns in great variety. Thefioweringclematis adoroed the brows and haadgear of the young picnickers. The lacch was everything that could be wished, and the many games that intervened between the spreads (for there were two) made a lively scene, while lovers of nature strolled and lost themselves in the magnificent fo. e*t. R -v. J. H. White, on behalf of Mrs Symons, the ladie>' treasurer, expressed hearty thanks for the considerable help to the funds through the kindness that day of Messrs H. Phillips, Matheison, and Wilson, who suitably responded.
