SHORT CARGOES. PBS PBESS ASSOCIATION. Wellington, October 15. The Arbitration Court to-r'ay caneluded the hearing of the whaif labourers dispute. During the proceedings Mr 0. Cross, representing the shipping companies, quoted from a table showing the extent to which during recent months own going vessels had left our shores short I of cargo. The Shire liner Fifeshire bad left with 4000 tons less than she could have carried ; S.haw Savill's Waiweri had 500 tons less; the New Zeaand Shipping Company's and, Wakanui, 40,00, and 3,00 tons respectively. The shortages of four Tyser liners were: Mimiro 2300 tons, S'ar of New Zealand 450 tona, Tomoana 1500 tons, and Indraghiri 800, tons. These eight vessels left with an , aggregate shortage of 13 8,5,0 ton,s, Mr ! Cross further s'a.tad that tho Star of i A'Vtralia had to go to Australia for , cargo, and seven other direct service boats were laid up in New Zealand waters waiting for cargo.
