George Mumford, skipper rf the yacht Ariajine, who was remanded on Wednf sday hst on a charge of ranting away his vessel neir Waitski on the 24th March, appeared before Ih' Magistrate this morning on three ad ditional charges of casting away the ship in concert with Freke ; of having at Sydney with Kerry (the owner) and Frrke formed a common int'n'ion to cast away the ship; and at Sydney, with the other two, conspired to de fraud the underwriters. Mr Bishop, S.M., stated that im proper suggestions bad been made to him that he should allow accused, on deposit of a cert-tin sum, to cover sur< - ties. He doubled the former bail, making ths personal bond of accused £4OO, and requiring two sureties of £2OO each.
