WEDDING.
A quiet, but very pretty, wedding took place at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Monday afternoon, tbe contraiing parties being Miss Lily Strauchon, eldest daughter of Mr John S rauchon, Commissioner of Crown Lands, and Mr Stewart Wicksteed, of Timaru. The Rev. S. S. Osborne officiated, and a considerable number of friends were present. The bride, who |is most highly esteemed by all who know her, wore a blue grey cos tame prettily trimmed with white silk, her hat being of white fancy straw, with masses of chiffon, and she cirried a very pretty white shower bouquet. The bridesmaids were her sisters, Misses Nellie and Winnie Strauchon, who were attired in heliotrope and white muslin dresses, trimmed with white silk. They each wore white bats, and carried white and pink shower bouquets. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Campbell MacDiarmid as best man. As the bridal party left the church the "Wedding March" was played by Miss E. Bale. The newlywedded pair left by the afternoon train en route for Napier for the honeymoon. The bride was the recipient of a large number of handsome and useful presents, and enters into her new state with the hearty good wishes of a largo circle of friends for her future happiness.
