WRECK OF A SOHOONER.

The Taviuni, from Fiji, brought intelligence of the wreck of the schooner Eastward Ho, owned by Mr Kroff, of Lsvuka, on Sunday, 22nd September The weather was squally and dark, and the schooner was making way on the sea side of the Horse Shoe re*f, when she was suddenly in the breakers, and settled down in them, making watt>r heavily. Captain Bysanteon was compelled to leive her, and with the crew proceeded in a boat to Mataka, where they remained until the following morning. The Eastward Ho was loaded with 17,000 feet of ven logs and sawn timber. There were no insurances on either ship or cargo. The wreck was sold for .£l4, but subsequently broke up, her destruction beiDg probably hastened by the pounding of I the logs against the sides of the! schooner. I
