THEATRE ROYAL.
THE SHERIDAN COMPANY. The final performance of the Sheridan Company at the Theatre Boyal on Thursday night was quite up to the high level of its predecessors. " A trip to Chicago " was the piece chosen, and it proved very attractive, as the house was again crowded with an enthusiast audience, very many of whom came from Waitara and en route, taking advantage of the special return train after the performance. As Johanna Murphy, Mr Sheridan made as great a hit as be did in the part of the Widow O'Brien, and caused roars of laughter throughout the evening. His make up as Juliet Brown-Potter was immense. Mr Orossby as a London Johnnie had a part exactly suited to him, and made the most of it; while all tbe members of the company again proved their peculiar abilities for making the best of their parts. Amongst the most taking of the songs were those of Mr Orossby, and Miss Barns and Miss Daisy Chard, the last niraed securing a double encore, in whioh she repeated her celebrated whistling song. The scenery and stage management throughout all the performances left nothing to be desired, and the company in leaving New Plymouth may rest assured of a hearty welcome on their next visit,
