CYCLE ROAD RACE.
PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Christchurch, Septembar 14. A test race, organised by the New Zealand branch of the Dunlop Tyre Company, to select a representative for the colony in the Waroainbool to Melbourne road race, was held to-day. The course was 50 milea, from Ohristchurch to Leeston and back. Nine staited in the race. The weather was favouiable so far as the wind was concerned, as it was blowing from all points of the compass. The race was won by A. B. Ralston (late of Taieri, but now living at Invercargill) with T. Olarkson second, 20 yards away.
