BOWLING.
At a meeting of the Council of the Northern Bowling Association at Wellington, a letter was received from the Auckland Bowling Club, suggesting that at the tournment the competing clubs should be divided into sections o six clubs each, and each section play within itself, the winning clubs playoff f„r the final. It was decided tr leave over the question until the clubf meet in Wellington for the annual tournament. A proposal from the Southern Bowling Association for an annual North v South Island match, to be played alernately at Wellington and Chriitcourob, was approved. A suggestion that delegates should proceed to Obristohuroh to arrange details was thought to be unnecessary, it being considered th&< suitable arrangements could be arrived at by letter. A motion on behalf of the Napiet Club, that a portion of the expenses of each tournament should be borne by each club on a bas : g of membership, was deferred until the tournment meeting.
