THE MAIDKN MELODISTS. At Nelson, notwithstanding thp wretched weather, there was a large attendance at the Theatre at the entertainment given by the Maiden Mel tdiats, savt-n in number. For fully two hours the audience were kept in the varied p ogramrao. The acti-n soogs were well rendoied, the voices blending (.plendidly, while the time was good. Tbe drills demonstrated how perfectly tlie young ladies had been insttuetod, while an exhibition of club s '. inging by om of the company was exceedingly go.id, and evoked tbe enthusiasm of the audience. The lance 'drill and medley was one of the b st items on the programme. The Salvation Federation Tableaux was well got up. Six little girls represented the States forming the Australian Commonwealth, while tho Maiden Melodists represented different types of the human race among whom the Salvation Army Officers are working. The vocal solos, duett, and musical dialogue were all enjoyed, and they added to the excellence of the programme,
