I ______ «• A transaction of more than ordinary magnitude and importance was brought to a successful conclusion on Saturday, when the Taranaki Fieezing Works were transferred to the Taranaki Producers and Freezing Works Company, or, in other words, to the dairy farmers of Taranaki, The works owe beea. nominally in the hands of the new company for tome w«eto, but the payment of the purchase money, and the legal transfer ro»k place on Saturday. McDUrmid, manager of the Bank, Mr Kerr, of the firm of Standi«h and Kerr, also representing the Bank, Mr 0 Samuel, solicitor for the Taranaki Freez'ng Company, Messrs J. G. Hnrkness and Arthur Morton, directors, and J. S. McKellar, secretary for tho purcbosirg company. The transaction involved the drawing of a cheque for Ll 5,263. which was signed by Messrs J. G. Harkness and A. Morton, directors, and J. S. McK*llar, secretary, and I handed to Mr 0. Simuel, who revived >id on behalf of the vendors. Mutual I congratulations were expressed at tbe I satisfactory completion of a transaction 'which all felt to be pregnant with ' good for the whole of T.iranaki.
