HEAVY CUSTOMS CLEARANCES.
PER PBESS ASSOCIATION. Welling tow, August 13. Over £2OOO was rtceived by the Customs Department to-day on tea cleared from local bond s'ores. Five of the principal wholes >le firms cleared every package they held. The movement is supposed to have been made in view of anticipated alterations in tho duty.
