Mr. Boy, solicitor to the Council, advised re'atfve to the Council's rights over the st no in the river bads. He suggested taking ac'ion in the Supreme Court against an offender 89 as to test the Council's rights. The Crown Lands Dapirtmpnfc wrote stating that a list of the gravel reserves on the Souths oad had been forwarded to the ranser, Mr. J. Hoskin, Waitara, wrote offering to pay £2 towards the cost of a drain adjoining hia property.—Post-

It was decided to proceed against all persons going through the toll without paying. M r Gray suggested that the Omata ind Heimama toll-gates be be let in Euture by tender or Bold by auction in the usual way, as from Ist September, rhia was agreed to, and the chairman md Mr. Lepper were appointed to fix! a reserve. Accounts were passed, and the council adjourned.
