Ambury. r Mr Okey said he bad been speaking to Mr Ritchie, Secretary of the Agricultural Department, about the mortality in young stock, One of his veterinarians thought the trouble was caused by a worm in the lung, partly owing to the wot weather, and that ho could cure the trouble. Mr OkeySgaid . he had suggested that be believed . farmers would be able to give a paddock for the veterinarian to experiment in, 1 so that they could see how the trouble \ might be overcome. M«* Ritchie was '[willing to assist. Mr Okey said he ,; knew of one settler who hud last £I,OOO i worth of stock. I The Chairman siid he believed Mr j Ritchie would do all in his power to assist farmers. The meeting then adjourned.
