INGLEWOOD.
(fhom our own correspondent). It is very strange that for pome mason or other we have had all elasse3 of people coming here and settling for I this last six months. The additions to our township since Christmas have I been : —One doctor, one lawyer, two land agents, three bootmakers, three fancy goods shop s , and a fish shop, one drappry shop and saddler's shop, one clothing shop, and more than 20 families residing here, gentlemen with private means or working away. Dwel-ling-houses cannot be obtiined any-i where, and there is not an empty shop in the place. So with the prospect of Inglewood being formed into a borough with a large loan to expend, we may j look forward to a good few years of prosperity. A social dnnee was givea to Miss Sin-1 clair last Tu slay in the Fer-j resfcers' Hall, by friends, on the the eve of her departm e from Inglewood. There were about 30c)up!es! present, and everybody seemed to! thoroughly eujiy themselves. Durin" the course of the evening Mr. Grant presented Miss Sinclair with an album, as a token cf tha r> gard of her numerous friends. Mr. 11. Valentine suitably respondtd ou behalf of Miss Sicclair.
