PRODUCERS AND FARMERS' UNIONS.
SUGGESTED AMALGAMATION. [MB PMSS ASSOCIATION.] 1 Wellington, July 18. At a meeting of country members ef tho House held to-day at the instance of Mr. Moore, Secretary of the Producers' Union, the fol'owing member* were press nt: —Mefsra Meredith'(in chair), Hall, Stevens, Carncrcs*, HousI ton, E. G. A'hti, Symes, o'Me\ra, G. W. Russell, J. Allao, Rhodes, Herrie*, McGuire, Hardy, Masssy, J. Allan, Monk, Lang, Bollard, Pirani, J. W. Thompson, and Lithbridge. The following resolution was carried unanimously :—" That thi* meeting of members of the House of Representatives, while thanking Mr. Moore for his address and for tha work he has done in the interests of farmers, reoommends the Producert'. Union to join with the Farmers' Union, so that the two Unions may become an as ociition to work toge'her in the interests of country settlers and of the colony as a whol*."
