He also serve iin the Soudan with l is regiment in 1898, was present at tho .b ttle of Khart-muß, and again menti.-m'd ia despatches, rec living bruvtt of L'eutenann-Culonel, and claep fc j Khedives medal. In South Airioi ho commanded tho Fourth Mounted Infantry Co>ps.
