Mb. Newton Kino reports Cattle. —At Waiwakaiho, on Tuesday, cattle came forward in advertised numbers. Most of the young cattle were looking rough and in low aradi ion, there being very few lots strong and well conditioned. Bidding for the latter class was brisk and prices satisfactory. Inferior quality, however, was difficult to qui'. Forward springers were keenly competed for and sold well, other lines were without a'tcation. Well fattened sleers and | heifers marie lils to LI Is ; aged cows, 15s !to 17s ; steers ranged from LB to Lll 16s; cows, L 4 10s to L 7. There was no improvement in sheep. Wethers made 12s 61 to 17s; ewes, 9s to J6s; lambs, 7s to lis 3d. Pigs sold freely. Porkers made LI to LI 10s; heavy p ! gs up to £2 7s Gd. At Puktkohe on Monday there was a fair muster of stock, most of which was sold. Dairy cows brought from £4 to £7 15s; dry ditto, £2 to £3 15s; c<ilves, £1 to £1 15s. Several pet's of 3-year stores were passed, there being little demand for that class of cattle. 1 here was but a moderate mustez of stock at Helensville on Wednesday, and late values ruled th oughout.
