A fairly csnlested football match was played in Captiin Mace's paddock at Oakura on Saturday, tho 18th irst, between the Kaitike and Diamond Jubilee teams, the former rppre»entiog Oakura and the latter Okato. Mr. H. Mills captained the Kaitake. Mr. T. Kustaci the Diamonds, and Mr. H. Shaw had command of the whistle There wore too slight accidents during th« first«pell, viz, Mr. G. Green, who iwt a blow in the ribi>, necessitating his leaving the field, when the Okato O.iptain very graciounly allowed his phce to be filled, and Mr. Thrmh, who got wiudrd, but was able to proceed after a diiok of water.
