Tiie Tannaki Rifles paraded on Monday- night under Captain Okey and Lieu'enants Cock and Hook»r. There was a good muster, and the men were pu' through a number of exercise*.
At the conclusion Oiptain Okey read a letter from Lieutenant-Oolong Watt, of Wangsnui, congiatulating the Volunteer* on the formation of the Turanaki Battalion, and rxpre-B ; ng regnt t severing his connection with such a fine Company as the To ranaki Rifles, which had formerly beea p»rt of the West Co -st Battalion.
