HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY'S AUTUMN SHOW.
The Taranaki Horticultural Society's Autumn Show which takes placo next Thursday, May 2nd, promises to be better than the Spring Show which was a record one for the Society. It is several yeats since a Chrysanthemum Show was held in New Plymouth and the Committee realising that autumn flowers were being neglected, opened correspondence with and other growers, as a result of which it was decided to hold a show alternatively at each place. Messrs Weightman and Son of Palmerston, whose chrysanthemums are well known all over the North Island, have reserved space for a large exhibit. Bnnnett and Green who exhibited over 60 varieties of dahlias with great success at the Auckland Show lust weak have promised to send a collection. Mr. Walker will exhibit pot plants, and growers down the line. as fir as Palmerston have promised to' contribute. There has been a large demand for catalogues, which tends towards success, and anyone interested in horticulture and floriculture should not miss this opportunity.
