Ths following extract will concern rating officers and clerks to local bodies: —Among the vaiieus questions raised in tbe reading of the new Act is that of whether a trustee wag qualified to vote upon each cf the properties for which h 9 was trustee. Upon this point tbe Secretary of tbe Municipal Corporations Association at Wellington states that nay person whese name is already on the roll is aot entitled to a second vote on account of any trusteeship he may hold; also, that a person holding property in more than one ward of a borough, is only entitled to vote for the ono word. This is the reverse of ti**law ruling for the last elections, atd wii] ] c*m-f as a surprise to many who originally exercised the right of s;vetal vo.es at municipal e'ectiocs. The forthComing cl'Ction will, therefore, be a "one man one vota" tlection in its t-uo seace.
