There must, of course, be a higher degree of assurance in critmnsl cases, but if the jury w«r*> of opinion that this higher degree was atfcaice i, thee, if this opinion was oaa which reasonable men eauldeome to, the Court could not interfere. Proceeding to deal with the evidence, Hi* Honor considered the jury were fully ju »t ified in the view they took of it* pro* oabiluy, especially with regard to points of similarity ia,the unknown letters to Dr. Clayton, propojing to murder Mr*. Siyeho, with thiw i admitted to b*> Scyche's, acid with regard to the alleged accident to accused's typewriter. Th* cuss, therefore, was cot one for a new trial. Each of the other Judges delivered written opinio* concurring witk the Chief Justice.
