FATALITY AT HENWOOD ROAD.
A sad accident occurred at the Hsnwood Eoad gravel pit 01 Tuesday, whereby Mr. Limmer, senior, who is well-known in the district, 10-it his life. Id appears that whi'e the duceasad was engaged at his work a sudden fall of sandstone took place burying bim up to the arrupiis. On being extricated and examined by Dr. Ho re, who had promptly responded to the call for his services, it was found that the unfqr-. tunate sufferer had received vary severe injuries. The right arm was lacerated in the upper part, both bones of the forearm being fractured, both thigh bones were also fractmed and there were grave internal injuries. Mrs. W. Bayly rendered great assistance in attending to the sufferer who wag removed by Dr. Home's advice to the Now Plymouth Hospital, being bronght in by Mr. Buriball, Everything possible wl's done fo,r the patient, but about an hour and a half after admission he succumbed to the eft'ect of the shook and passed away about 8.30.
