The fin».l match for the beginners' prize was played off in the bowling greeft yesterday aftarnoqn between Messrs Mills and Hudson, the former having to concede 3 points. Bath men were in gond form, and some excellent play was exhibited. At the tenth heat each had made six points. At the thirteenth heat the game was, Mil's 9, 3 irrison 8, but at thi next he >t Harrison scored 4, while imm-.diate'y after Mills scored 4, the fifteenth heat showing Mills 13, Harrison '}% A fc the twentieth hes*', however, Harrison had drawn away and stood 19 to his opponent? 14. Mills was now put on his mettle and tha twenty-third heat showed the game 19 all. At the twenty fifth heat Mills was '2l to Harrison's 20. Two more heads added 4 more to Mills, thus gaining the victory. The game was witnessed by a large number of interested spectators.
