A number of warships, torpedo boats, and destroyers, met thft Opbir oulside the Valetta Harbour. The gambols of the destroyers were among the features of the appieach to Mai:a. A magnificent gun fire was maintained from the bat'leship-i and forts as the Ophir steame;! up the harbour. Brilliant weather favoured the spectacle. The Duke and Ducbesa of York signalled their thanks for the welcome by wirele=s tdegiaphy, siying "glad to be with you again on such an interesting occasion."
